Green with 15 points and some good defense in 26 minutes and is in there playing in crunch time. Sixers inbound on the side. Iveson takes it in the paint into a crowd and misses. Great to have Green and Allen play so well ... takes away the need of getting a veteran swing-man; Ainge can now concentrate on a defensive big man and veteran point guard.
Nice to see 12 assists from Delonte as well. Would have liked to see more of Perkins; I see no need to play Scal 11 minutes, when that could have been used to give Perkins a 30 minute game (IIRC they were not in the game at the same time). Perkins has such a high ceiling, and Scal isn't going to get much better at this point in his career. But overall, not much to complain about, and it's always nice to beat Philly!

I also think Perk should be getting more time. He seemed to be playing very well and was raking in rebounds and he missed a defensive set and was late getting to defend the basket and Iverson got an open dunk. Doc took him out after that and they showed Doc going off on him and even Tommy mentioned that Doc was going off on Perk two plays after it happened. Doc is really quick to pull guys when they make a mistake. Perk kind of alluded to that when Tony Brown coached that game and the kids did so well. Perk said that Tony didn't pull them for their mistakes and they were able to play through them and with more confidence because they weren't so afraid of making a mistake and getting pulled. Doc needs to give Perk more minutes and let him play through his mistakes.

Play of Green and Allen is giving DA lots to think about related to draft and to FA acquisition.
I'm wondering if he won't wind up looking hard at the 4 spot.

We'll im glad to see we haven't completly thrown in the towel. The guys are still giving a great effort. Any time we can beat philty and spoil their playoff chances is great news for celtic fans. Pierce was great down the strecth as usual, and GG is coming on like gangbusters. I love this guys confidence and swagger. You can tell the coaching staff is gaining confidence in him, near the end of the game it was GG at the top of the key on an isolation play. PP usually does the honors. He drew a foul on the defender and swished his 2 free throws.
No way can we afford to trade this guy. He's cleary the heir- apparent to PP. Wally's injury may have been a blessing in disguse, it's given RIVERS an excuse or opportuninty to give GG more minutes. I think all celtc fans have been wanting to see what GG can do. Strong contributions from west and allen. Nice WIN overall.

One thing I see. We have a veteran PG on the team, in Dickau. As far as next season goes West, Greene and DD can fill the role, along with spot minutes from Allen. IMO... Let's go for another big in the draft, unless something just falls in our lap.
