Looks like they are expecting Perk to be out and are bringing him in for insurance.
Celtics Recall Dwayne Jones from Developmental League
BOSTON – The Boston Celtics announced today that the club has recalled Dwayne Jones from the Florida Flame of the NBA Development League (D-League).
Jones, acquired from the Minnesota Timberwolves along with Wally Szczerbiak, Michael Olowokandi and a future first round draft choice, on January 26, 2006, averaged 8.9 points, 11.7 boards (which leads the D-League in both offensive and defensive rebounding) and 2.0 blocks in 30.4 minutes per game in 26 games with the Flame. Jones was assigned to the Flame on November 4, 2005 by the Timberwolves.
The 6-11, 250-pound center ranked 5th in the nation in rebounding (11.6) and blocks (3.0), while averaging 10.1 points per game for Saint Joseph's in 2004-05.

From watching him in the D League, I think he has potential because he has that knack for grabbing rebounds and for blocking shots and is somewhat athletic... BUT as with Green he needs to bulk up or will be pushed around at the NBA level. We need to assign him a strength and conditioning coach as we did Green. I think he has game, but is not strong enough yet to really compete at the NBA level. He will also need to work on his offensive moves around the basket and is offense over all.

Is he the 6'11" - 250 I've seen him listed at?

He looked skinnier to me but I only saw him in the game and not close up. He could have been playing against bigger guys but to me he looked like he needed to bulk up a bit.

Sadly, I think Doc will go small before he even thinks about giving Jones any playing time.
