So, as the story slowly comes to light, a number of things have now become clear...
1. Found out who really owned and controlled the Celtics Franchise.
2. All rumors of a possible buyer have been pretty much debunked.
3. Reason for the sale was first because of Wyc's dads who is 90+ and wanted to get his affairs in order, to now being about the payroll being out of control and they want out.
This leads me to think no one wants to touch this team at the asking price and anyone who does, we should be prepared for this team to be gutted and parted out to clear cap and get under the deep Lux Tax hole we are in.
Fun stuff.

I saw that story when it came out several days ago, and Wyc immediately refuted it, so who really knows?
I think the mostly likely scenario is that team payroll will come down naturally as first, AL retires, then KP's contract ends and, if he continues to miss playoff runs because of injury, we let him walk, and then Jrue's contract ends when he's in his late 30s. At that point we can reload around the Jays, both of whom will still be in their prime.

Most likely scenario. I found it interesting the core was signed for about the same time frame. I think whoever buys the C's will have deep pockets.
