One year deal. I'm assuming league minimum. He's been a pretty good outside shooter for most of his career.

I think it may be a non-guaranteed camp invite, which could turn into a vet minimum one year deal. Either way, it seems like a good move.

This could be quite the steal. At the very least this is very savvy as injury insurance with a long grueling season coming up.
Stronger competition, combined with all the extra mins from the playoffs into the Olympics will all play a factor in our health and depth. Once again showing the high IQ of our front office.
Even better, at the most Lonnie can actually play! If he buys into this system, he could prove to be better than just injury insurance. Brooklyn let one go if you ask me.

Amazing pick up by Brad. Made a championship team even better.
I've liked Lonnie since his college days (even more now without his crazy hair). He's not a guy who needs the ball in his hands.
And if there is one chink in our armor, it is consistent bench scoring. Lonnie helps take care of that.

I feel like Lonnie is like Tony Allen or Terry Rozier-type hybrid. With Allen a huge edge on D which Lonnie will need to adopt with us
I see a confident, scoring game-changing-pace combo guard like Rozier.
Lonnie plays bigger than his 6'4" while still maintaining the quickness of a Point. Along with the ability to create his on shot off the dribble giving us a scoring bench option that is full of catch and shoot dominate 3 and D guys.

I was reading a little about him this morning, and checking out his stats. I think his offense is ahead of his defense, but he has a bit of a chip on his shoulder from being passed on by basically the whole league when free agency opened this summer. He said something along the lines of "I haven't even reached my prime yet, and the apologies I (eventually) get better be as strong as the shunning of me was." That's a very rough paraphrase, but it should be music to Joe M's ears. This is a guy who should be willing to work to get even better.

There is definitely something else going on with him that causes teams to pass him by because he clearly has talent to play in the league.
I'm fairly certain the main knocks are he doesn't give any effort on D and is inconsistent, but that's all young players.
Also, we must take into consideration using the statement you provided and the possibility that he has character issues. Thinking he should be a starter or a star before he has proved he belongs at the Pro level. Pretty common for some players to be ready mentally for the Pro level.
The important thing is none of this means that cant change, especially when our staff works with him. He just has to believe (which I think he has a big ego) and be willing to buy in and do the work.
He is already a player on the verge of avg dbl figures.

So here's the actual quote: ""I ain't even reached my prime yet, yall gonna see soon. The apology better be just as loud as the disrespect."

I don't dislike this mentality. However, he has a 10-day deal and there are already rumors we will let him walk.
There is something Lenny Cook about him to me.
Makes me sad because I think he is better the O'Brizzy.
