Agreed. Thats the talk around the Kool-Aid cooler. Why no Jaylen to replace Kawhi? Seems a better fit.  |

JB aside, I like the idea of adding another guy who does what's necessary and doesn't need to score to be useful. This team has plenty of scorers. Good for D White.

Grant Hill says he chose to add DWhite inteadnof Jaylen because White complements the talent on the USA Team better.
Can't argue that as DWhite is one of the top glue guys in the game.
Adds a lot of fuel to Jaylen's fire next season. Look out NBA.

Red would have picked guys like Jrue and D White to go with his scorers. It's not which team has the most talent. It's which team has talent that plays best together. This is no knock on Jaylen.

Of course there is more drama to this than meets the eye, apparently. I don't know how much is just sports media spin for content and views but the word on the street says Jaylen was snubbed.
One of the things I first thought was that because Kawhi has that spot and dropped out, wouldn't Jaylen be the perfect replacement? Also, as you said Jmost they already had Jrue in that sorta gritty swiss-army-knife roll which doesn't make sense to have white also.
Not to mention, Jaylen is the ECF MVP, Champion, and FINALS MVP. it wasn't his scoring and taking over both those series that got him those awards. If you watch Jaylens D he was pretty much lock-step in doing the same things as Dwhite and even was involved in a lot of those plays along side White for blocks etc.
There is something fishy going on and it could be something to do with Nike.

Also, I believe that if any person, organization, or entity influences things like this in any manner it should be considered tampering. So if Nike is behind the shadow ban on Jaylen they should be stripped or their sponsorship, fined, and banned from the next Olympics.  |
