Be Brad Stevens: Svi Edition

I really like Svi and I think he is worth keeping.

He seems reliable to me and has a nice shot and hustle. Gives effort every time he gets mins. He can do things I don't think HOWZAH does as well. But not as a knockdown shooter (still shoots really well). Would be a shame to let him walk if we can get him cheap.

All that said, if we sign o'Brizzy do we need Svi?

I go with trust Brad. I like Svi, and if Brad and Joe want him back, then I have no problem.

But maybe a one or two year deal. Maybe Walsh, Scheierman, or even Peterson move past him. And if they do, we won't have a need for Svi.

I don't know that I've seen enough of Svi outside of garbage time to have a sense of his all-round game. He seems to be a good shooter, but nothing else sticks out to me. Brad and Joe see him in practice and scrimmages and I trust them to make the right call.

He looks good with the ball in his hands running the O as well. I could see him spotting at Point with Howzah on the floor. He is already a vet with experience who does a lot of different things other guys can't.

I remember how hyped I was about Svi before he even went to Kansas. He looked good as a teenager with so much potential.

And yet here we are -- many years, and teams, later he hasn't been able to pull it altogether.
