Boy, do we have them! Hauser, Scheierman, and Drew Peterson. All of them are still young (23-25), have good height (6'7"-6'8" ish), and can really shoot it well.
Hauser has already busted through and will soon be earning a nice contract.
But don't count out Peterson just yet. Schei is the shiny new penny, but Peterson is quicker and more athletic. Peterson is more like Duncan Robinson and Schei is more like Luke Kennard. It'll be a nice competition between them.
Question is, what do we do with 3 backup wing sharpshooters? Can't play them all.

Side note: I was listening to the Bill Simmons NBA draft live podcast and he was so excited when the Celtics drafted Schei. I guess he had been calling for them to draft him for several weeks.
It can't hurt to have bench talent, even if they rarely play. At the very least it's insurance in case of injury.

I like Bill Simmons and appreciate his insight. But I don't knownif assess prospects well. He was amped when we drafted James Young.
Hopefully the Bill Simmons' curse doesn't affect Shei.
Schei is a way better prospect than James Young could have ever been, so I feel good about him.
But I'm starting to dig Peterson as well.

I don't listen to Simmons often, but his playoff podcasts with his father are fascinating. Two genuine Celtic fans, both of whom have seen a ton of basketball, speaking from the standpoint of fans. For whatever reason I really enjoy them.

I would leave Anton and Peterson in Maine a lot. Between Jordan Walsh and Schei I would send one down to Maine for about 2 weeks, then send the other for two weeks. Both guys could use time in both places while we sort out who can help us more now. That assumes no injuries. We need the time to establish a pecking order. We also need to get them good minutes to prepare them for either next year or an injury that will require their help. I'm not at all 100% sold on Schei over Walsh. Yes he put up good numbers in the Big East at the age of 22, but Jordan Walsh put up good numbers in the G League at the age of 19. I think Maine can sort out who the next best wing is between Anton and Peterson. I think we saw enough of JD in Maine that the competition between him and Springer got sorted.

I'd want Anton Watson up with the team ASAP to learn as much as he can from Horford and X (hoping he's back). Get his legs under him at GL, and then as soon as he's ready call him up.
Right now I think Schei is more polished than Walsh so he might be in BOS more often than Walsh.
