What are your thoughts on the guys outside our top 8 (Tatum, Jaylen, Porzingis, Jrue, DWhite, Horford, Hauser, Pritchard)?
Whether they're staying or not, how likely are they to play and contribute in the next couple of seasons?
Kornet
Queta
Tillman
Watson
Walsh
Sheierman
Peterson
Springer
Davison

Kornet possibly staying on friendly deal, which would really surprise me. With KP out till January this could be a very good chance for him. Queta Same
Tillman Same
Watson 2 way deal. Will have rookie season similar to Jordan Walsh
Walsh will play in Maine a lot but will get more minutes with the big club
Sheierman Will contribute a little. Will leapfrog Jordan Walsh in the rotation. Will occasionally excite. Won't displace Hauser. Will need a year. Will absolutely be an NBA player. Similar path as Peyton Pritchard. Either Hauser, Walsh, or he could be traded.
Peterson Hasn't showed enough in Maine. Will need to show more
Springer Continues doing what he's doing. Might get slightly more minutes as they try to keep legs fresh
Davison Gone. Didn't do enough. Maybe comes back to Maine.
The only thing I really see one of these guys getting minutes for is if someone gets hurt. KP will be hurt so there's minutes there, but it will take at least one more guy getting hurt. Also if any of them do get minutes and really show something they might get traded.
I really look forward to how these young guys do in summer league.
Springer should seriously work on his shooting and so should Davison. And Watson. And Tillman. And Queeta.
If one of the bigs develops a decent outside shot they will have the inside track on playing time.

I'm hearing with KP out they may be making phone calls to Theis and Muscala right now. They just need to find 7 high quality minutes per night. Maybe 12.

I heard the Theis Talk (someone has a Podcast when his career is over). I love that we have guys we had years ago and were fond of but had to move and then get them back usually with really good results. Even when Toine came back in 04 I think it was, had a more mature game and really helped us get back in the win column.

I'm ok with losing Queta, Peterson, Davison, and even Springer. They are either long shot projects or prospects who will be buried on the depth chart (Peterson).
I like Svi but for whatever reason he can't earn a spot.
I have good hopes for Jordan Walsh. He's got the talent and the drive to be at least a solid backup wing.
I like Kornet and Tillman, and I'd bring back both .... unless someone better comes along who can take both their minutes. If we can get Goga Bitadze, I'm ok with moving on from Kornet and Tillman.

Looks like we're declining Queta's option and resigning him to a longer term contract.
I'm still doubtful about Queta amounting to anything, but they like what they see of what he xould be down the road.

JD Davison was not tendered, so he's now an unrestricted free agent. This might signal the end of Davison's time with the Celtics organization.
