Porzingis had surgery to take care of his rare calf injury, and will miss the early part of the season.

I read they expect him to be out 5-6 months from the day of surgery, so we'll see him December at the earliest. I wonder how this will affect Kornet and Tillman. We have a team option on Queta.
In separate news, I read that Brissett expects to be back with us next year after opting out.

Smart move for Brissett. No titles are guaranteed but you gotta ride this out at least one more year. Hope for an increased role. Brissett will have to balance the stay-ready mentality required with his personal ambitions to play more and improve his skills and also his future stock should he eventually go/moved elsewhere.
Right now he is riding high due to his strong play in a limited role and being a champion.
It could also backfire if he should not improve or worse still, have a set back season.

I'd only sign Brissett for a one year deal, or two if it's a team option for year 2.
