You may have discussed this before but I was busy with game threads and comments and links and didn't get to check in much. What do you think about Davison and Peterson, our 2 way players? I didn't watch a lot of them in Maine but saw them a couple times in Boston. I know that Peterson is supposed to be a sharp shooter and Davison is a quick PG but haven't seen enough to make a judgement.
Do you think that either of those guys is worth a regular contract or will they be back in Maine? Or, after having Davison for a couple of years, will they go in another direction? Has anyone watched them play in Maine?

I have more hope in Davison panning out than Peterson.
I was happy to see JD play more in control last season, like the game is slowing down for him, but still using his speed and explosiveness. He does show signs of seeing the floor and making right passes, and I've always been impressed with his lob passing.
I don't know where he fits with our team, seeing how Pritch is our backup PG for the forseeable future (and Pritch is an overall better player than Davison).

I've caught a couple Maine Celtics games. Specifically, their playoff run where they made the Finals and came up just short of the title (would've been amazing to grab both the G and L titles together).
I watched Jordan closely and Queta. But Davidson and Peterson caught my eye they both did really well. In fact I really liked Walsh and Peterson out running the floor. I thought Davidson was a great motor and energy but he looked much smaller than 6'1". I thought he was below 6 feet but apparently, he is barefoot.
Peterson is above his collegiate scoring avg. I like his size and shooting. His three is coming along but needs improvement by a few percentage points to be effective on the pro level. I really liked the bits I saw in the G Finals.
Davidson is small with a huge motor and lots of energy. listed at 6'1" he looked below 6 feet but apparently he is legit 6 in socks. Hes nearly dbled his scoring since last year in the G. His 3 is suss at best but he can board for a little guy and has pro level assist numbers.
I want to see where peterson goes before we should offer him a contract. at this point he is a no.
Davidson could also produce on a team in a small role on a lesser team. No to him as well.

I watched a fair amount of Maine Celtics games this year. JD is a fun player. Obviously super fast (more fast than quick), didn't show much of a handle, great vision and improving (but still not great) shot. A liability on D. He's a restricted free agent. I see us letting him go make a deal somewhere he can make more money. Probably overseas. I don't see a role for him in Boston.
I don't think Drew has NBA athleticism, but I didn't watch him as carefully as JD and Walsh. I usually fast-forward Maine game so I can watch the guys I think have an NBA future.

I've watched a little of JD. He's never really stuck out positively to me. He seems to jittery and jerky. Kinda the opposite of Pritchard. I can see why he's considered an elite athlete but he seems to waste a lot of motion.
I suppose he could do for a 4th guard but I don't think he's an upgrade over Springer yet.
He was a G league all star I think, so I suppose he has done well enough to make Brad go with two bigs instead of a big and a guard.
I also want to point out that not last year, but the year before that Yam Madar won Euro League Rising Star which is a pretty prestigious award. Maybe he wants more money than and pt than we'd give him.

I don't think we should expect much out of either of them. Davison was always a hail mary pick. Dude has elite speed and athleticism, but it never translated to the court.
