Jaylen has a Supermax contract, Jayson is about to sign a historic Supermax. On paper this locks up two of the top 3 Superstars in the L. Maybe even arguably the top 2. With that being said is Tatum C4L? And since I mentioned it, Brown too?
If they both go out in green do you think numbers 0 and 7 will be gone to the rafters? Stop and take a moment to appreciate all the great players who wore those numbers over the years! Think about how many players wore those numbers just in the post Bird era until banner 17!!!

If they play their whole careers here, yes, they will have their numbers retired. Heck, KG had his retired after 6 seasons and 1 title.

For zero I can only think of Montross and Avery Bradley. For 7 I can only think of Dee Brown and I think Kenny Anderson
Edit....oh wow. I missed some guys

I would have guessed that Paul Pierce would have been a Celtic for life. I think he wanted to be but it was taken out of his hands by the trade that set up this championship. I can see both of those guys wanting to finish their careers in Boston but, as with Pierce, it may be taken out of their hands. If they are Celtics for most of their careers, I can see their numbers being retired. They've already been here longer than KG was.

Ya solid Tommy Points FL. And you know, looking at it like that I feel that both Pierce and KG understood it was for the greater good. It totally makes sense that in a way they were still Celtics because they knew they were past expiration and the only way they could help now is in trade to free up and accumulate more assets ensuring the continued success of the team. Something Ray Allen didn't get or understand. All to chase another title. He really missed out on a legacy in Green and we see how KG was rewarded. Now Ray hopes we will retire his number 20 here...should we? One other thing to mention is that Paul signed a symbolic contract allowing him to retire a Celtic. "It's an honor to have this opportunity to once again call myself a Boston Celtic," Pierce said We also know KG was surprised they wanted to retire his number not thinking he was worthy and he could've easily declined and maybe Minny would step up and come to their senses, but I guess sources were that Minny had no interest in honoring KG for making their team relevant. Regardless I feel KG deserved it. KG was a superstar and is HoF and is top 10 PF all time. I am pretty Biased and think he is top 5 but 1 through 10 really anywhere in there is legit.
