I remember when Horford was a problem for us in Atlanta! Us Celtics fans didnt like him cuz he always gave us trouble but I am more than happy he has found a home here in Boston and decided to come back for another run! I can admit I was wrong about Hawks Horford all those years ago. I thought he wasnt all that great and playing above his level. LOL! Guy is a real Pro!

I was thinking about how Horford was derisively nicknamed "Average Al" by a local Boston talk radio host a few years ago - no doubt because his stats didn't jump out at you. It's so interesting how real basketball people like Stevens can see beyond the stats to a player's true value. I think Jrue is in that same mold, and in fact, Stevens talks about him much the same way. Some guys are winners and their value far exceeds what the box score says.

Stevens always had a penchant for those "swiss army" type of players. Ex: Turner, Hayward. Everybody thought Jrue was very good, however how many people thought White? Writer's note - USA basketball, White made the team; didn't understand why then, however I definitely understand why now!
