Assuming decent player health and no major trades, what do you think is the single most important area of improvement for the 23-34 Celtics?
Getting back to the defense we played 2 years ago?
Running an offense that generates easier shots for Tatum and Brown?
Playing smarter, with fewer mental mistakes?
Playing harder all the time?
Better coaching in Joe's second year?
Something else?

For me it'll be hard to tell until the playoffs. They seem fine in the regular season, but once the defensive intensity of the playoffs kick in, that's when the cracks show. Turnovers are such a killer, and they never seem to get any easy shots. They have to work for everything.
Here's hoping Dallas stalls out and Luka demands a trade. I'd offer Jaylen and all the 1st rounders they need to get the job done.

I agree that the thing that's been holding us back for last several years has been our atrocious crunch time offense. Unless JT is having one of his all-world games we struggle. I don't want Jaylen having to dribble through the D to get layups, and I don't want JT shooting 3s off the dribble.
Part of that has to come from Joe's growth as a coach and a better coaching staff supporting him.
Part has to come from better PG play.
Maybe KP will help. I hope.

The biggest improvement BOS can make is allowing the players to perform the best aspects of their games, and minimize what the players are performing average (or below average). A couple of examples:
1. Tatum - drive to the rim, and don't settle for step back 3's; or take 3's catch & shoot. 2. Brown - limit the amount of ball-handling, which leads to fast-break turnovers. 3. Rest of the team - focus getting the ball to the above average 3 point specialist (Hauser, Pritchard, etc).
