Congrats to the Nuggets, who impressively dispatched all comers to win their first title. Happy for Jokic, Murray and the rest of the players, Coach Malone and the long-suffering fans. If it isn't the Celtics I always want to see a first time champion.
I don't know we'd have done any better than MIA did. DEN not only won 4 games to 1, they did it without shooting the ball well for much of the series. I think there's a good chance they're even better next year, with the confidence of champions and the pressure of not having won gone. We're going to have to be a lot better than we showed this year.
I know we shouldn't torture ourselves with this kind of thinking but we could have had both Jokic and Murray. In 2015 we drafted Terry Rozier and RJ Hunter before DEN took Jokic in the second round. The next year we took Jaylen before Murray. Having those two would not have affected our ability to draft JT, because he was taken with a Nets pick we owned. Imagine Jokic, Tatum, Murray. To quote Dr Smith, "Oh, the pain!"

If given the choice I'd take Brown over Murray. Imagine how good Jaylen would look with a creator like Jokic getting him the ball.

Good point, fresh. If you took having to dribble penetrate off Jaylen's plate, he'd be a lot more effective, and a lot less frustrating to watch.

No. Team A is off a week, where Team B just won a game 7.
I was thinking the same about the draft. Will add (2) more: ORL took Gordon over Smart, and DEN took MPJ over RW3.
BOS has all the pieces to win now, however the players need to know their roles, and stop complaining (shut their mouths)!
