I was just looking at the box score of Denver's 15 point Game 3 win over MIA and the stat that jumped out at me was DEN making just 5 three point shots all game, and taking only 18. We've heard Joe saying the most important stat is 3 point attempts, but this seems to contradict that.
I really hope Joe watched this game and learned something.

I really hope Joe watched this game and learned something. 3s is a carry over from Coach Stevens. Everyone has the greenlight. My hypothesis is that BOS led the NBA in the playoffs in most missed open 3s. I think BOS has many issues to solve. Solid foundation, however predictable. I do not think the 3s is sustainable. Even GS was ousted.

We need to up our Analytics game. Someone needs to show our coaches and players what is working for each guy, and then there needs to be a conscious effort to get each player the shots that are in their sweet spot, and for them to turn down shots that aren't.

Great post. I think the root cause of the Celtics is that players are asked to perform tasks/roles they are not good at.
