This is one day late, since Game 1 has already been played, but how far do you think this team will go?
It's been (as usual) an up and down season for the Celtics, but I believe we are a much better team than the team that went to the Finals last year. Brown and Tatum are both better, especially at finishing at the hoop. Derrick White has dramatically improved his 3 point shooting and is playing with much more confidence. We added Brogdon and kept him healthy. Robert is much healthier than he was in the playoffs last year. Hauser has become a valuable bench player.
I see two main obstacles to our going all the way. The first is whether we have matured enough to play at or near our peak level for four playoff series. I guess we'll never know until we do it. Once a team wins a championship they know they can do it. Until you do it, there's always some doubt I think.
The second obstacle is if someone improved more than we did. MIL didn't have Middleton last year. Is his addition a bigger add than all the improvements we've made? I don't think so, but Giannis is still the single most dominant player in a BOS/MIL series so I don't think it'll be easy for either team. I'm not sure any other team in the East can raise their level to ours.
I am fairly optimistic that this is our year to raise another banner, but there's a long way to go.

Banner [HASH]18. BOS is deeper than any team left in the playoffs. I also think the West will be a battle royale. Side note - got a friendly wager (pre-season) with a friend, 'sixers fan; Fudgie the Whale is on the line (if they meet). Go Celtics!

I think there's a real chance that MIA knocks MIL out, especially if they take tonight's game (with Giannis still expected to be out) and go up 3-1. It's hard for me to root for the Heat but I guess I am in this series.

Jimmy Butler just had one of the great clutch performances I've ever seen in the playoffs. If you have a chance to watch the last 6 minutes of the game, do it. The Bucks have their hands full now.

Jimmy Butler is probably my favorite non-Celtics player. Thank g-d, BOS plays up, and not down to better opponents.

I think the schedule worked out ok for us. Yes, Embiid got an extra few days of healing because we let Game 5 slip away against ATL, but we now have FRI-SUN off before playing PHI in Game 1 on Monday. That's a nice rest without having it be so long we get out of rhythm - something that could affect Philly.
I don't expect it to be easy. Embiid is a beast, Harden still has his moments and the Sixers are playing well. On the other hand, they had the easiest path of any team in the East, so they're not really battle-tested. And, for whatever reason, we seem to have Philly's number. The only game, of 4, that we lost to them this year, neither Rob nor Jaylen played. I think we'll win, and I don't think it'll take 7 games ... IF we can stay focused and aggressive.

They play every other day, and BOS has the deepest bench in the league (and PHI has no bench).
