Feast or famine?
*Drafting in the top-6, Danny landed Smart, Brown, and Tatum. *Drafting in the middle of the round, Danny landed Jefferson, and wiffed on Young, Yabu, Langford, and Nesmith. *Drafting late in the round, Danny landed Rondo, Williams, Williams (again), and wiffed on Edwards (and some more players, however late round selections are always a crap shoot).
Any thoughts? note - I was thinking about this recently seeing the progress (or digress) of former players Langford, and Nesmith.

Very good. Not elite, but very good. To me a big 'what if?' is if both Mem and Sacto couldve been just a liiiiitle bit worse the years the C's had their picks. They missed out on Herro by one spot, Haliburton by two. My goodness, imagine this team with those two guys. We dont trade for brogdon in that scenario, but my goodness, i dont think we'd need him.

I always thought he was well above average and put himself in position to get very good value so that if needs be they could be traded later.
Perk, Tony Allen, Delonte, Big Baby, Ryan Gomes, Semi O, Avery Bradley
But there were times we needed help and he did pretty bad. JR Giddens. RJ Hunter, Sullinger, Fab Melo, JuJuan Johnson
The biggest mistake by a long shot is Kelly O over Giannis.
He basically needs Tatum to lead us to a ring to make up for that.
Wait a second. Ainge didn't draft KO. He drafted Lucas Nogiera a pick after Giannis, then traded him for KO. Interesting. I guess that worked out

Sully, Fab, and JJ...guess what...all mid round selections. 2. Supposedly, Danny visited Greece to scout Giannis himself, and said he wasn't the guy. In fairness, half the NBA missed him. 3. Overall, had some big hits, and some big whiffs. Danny, and RC Buford were like 1a, and 1b in general to drafting however one could argue Presti drafting (3) back to back to back MVPS could be 1c.

One good Ainge pick that I forget about is Terry Rozier. He's ended up having a really solid career for a mid level pick

Danny also took James Young when Jokic was available. That was the same year we took Smart at [HASH]6. Jokic, Brown and Tatum. Oh my.
The whole league missed on Jokic though, so it's hard to blame Danny too much.
