I am starting a new board for around the NBA - focusing on what is going with other teams.
By now you have heard about Kobe's 81.
For me, the highlight was watching Seattle beat Phoenix 152-149 in double OT in an old style run and gun shootout. The Sonics must be breathing that magic Seahawk dust.
Portland gave Dallas a rough time Sunday night before losing in OT. Steve Blake is a good looking kid and his Maryland sidekick Juan Dixon ain't too shabby. They haven't had the best of years but they are still watchable. Darius Miles has been injured so that hurt them.
The Clippers had a nice comeback win in Golden State last night and they are going in the right direction.
Sacremento and Phoenix both screwed us by losing in Philly and Orlando respectively. Knowing our luck Bibby and Rahim will take their frustrations out on us Friday but Perkins, Raef and Jeff will knock them to the Pahquet Paint as they should.
Artest is a punk and Bird should look to Null and Void his contract or go for a buyout. Artest has destroyed the morale on that team. They have looked pathetic the last two nights.
Miami is putting it together and will get 2nd seed in the East. They won't beat Detroit (no one will this year).
How about the Denver Nuggets going into SAS and winning?
Houston is playing decent ball with T-Mac, Juwann Howard, David Wesley, etc. They are too far out of it to make the WC field but they look like a team you do not want to play to if you have to win.
New Jersey is in the middle of their WC swing and they get drubbed in Utah.
Prognosis: Celtics can make a move to improve their standing this week, but they have to produce on the road if they want to make the playoffs.
