I'm going to start with our record for last year and work from there.
We went 51-31, but that includes a 20-21 first half and a 31-10 second half. Some of that was due to roster changes, primarily adding D White, and some to figuring out how to play. If you were to go into this season with the same roster that finished last season, and everyone was healthy, it wouldn't be crazy to expect a win total ranging from the high 50s to low 60s. Add in Malcolm Brogdon and the expectations are even higher. Gallinari may or may not have moved the needle, but at this point it's moot. (Or moo for you Joey Tribbiani fans).
So two months ago I was thinking 60+ was possible. Then Rob's extended rehab from surgery was announced and obviously we're not as good for the first part of the season, maybe until Dec or Jan. That's going to cost us some wins I think.
We're better than we were last year. But so are several other teams. It's not going to be easy to finish first in the East.
I'll go with 55 wins.

I predict 60 wins. (I'm a hopeless optimist with green colored glasses)

51-31. Reason(s) - new coach, no RW3 for at least the first half of the season. However, I think BOS will be better than last year, because of the development of the Jays, and the addition of Brogdon.

At the halfway mark we're at 29-12, on pace for 58 wins - runrondo's prediction. Anywhere between 55-60 seems plausible if we stay fairly healthy.

Still on a pace for 58 wins, but I hope and believe we'll be healthier in the last 24 games than we've been so far.
I think they said during the DET game that last year's starting five of Horford, Rob, JT, JB and Smart have only played 29 minutes together this season. I don't think the All-Star break could have come at a better time for us.

Also, team management for experimenting while not disrupting the team.
