I'm not happy Trevion didn't challenge that shot. Get your hands up

The team seems very natural and unselfish tonight JD and Juhann like to push the ball, and that has a positive effect cause the defense turns their attention on them. Guys are looking more comfortable too.

So JJ Reddick is calling the game makes sense.
Justin Jackson is 27 years old. His stats have never been that great. I didn't realize he signed a 10 day contract with the Celtics a couple years ago. I guess they think they saw something. They probably want to see if a young guy is better than him. He's probably the minimum baseline standard for them. If you have a 20 year old better than him that's something

If you force me to pick one of these guys it would be one of the bigs. I just think there's a lot of athletic 3 and D wings in the world. But we could really use another good big. If between Kabengele, Trevion and Robert Franks (though he's more a 4/3), it would probably be Kabengele for me. In spite of my feelings about the holes in his game, as a 3rd big man to use at Center (competing with Luke Kornet), his strong body and ability to hit three's would serve us best.

Not a fan of Kuminga. Plays too nonchalant for my taste.

In my first impressions I agree. More defense. More bounce. More hunger. More size.

Juhann makes nice plays, and then some boneheaded plays. Lots to learn, but he's got the look.
He's got athleticism, speed, skills, motor -- now just put it altogether.

Bad call on that Kabengele charge. Moody stepped right into his path.
Good test for our guys to see if they can pull this win out.

What on Earth did JD Davidson just do?

Our guys are playing tough and not losing composure, even though the 20 pt lead dwindled down to 5.
I'm proud of JD, Juhann, Kabengele, and guys like Brodrick and Justin.

I have to say I'm not seeing the elite athleticism of JD Davidson at all. I'm actually pretty disappointed by it. I see it but not applied to basketball. To me the best "athlete" on the team seems to be Begarin. Like if these guys had to win a decathalon or an obstacle course or the hunger games or Pros vs Joes I'm going with Begarin followed by Kabengele. Next might be JD but maybe not. Maybe Trevion or Thomas.
JD is athletic but it's like the time my coworker got poison ivy and had to take steroids and was bouncing off the wall. Or if Speedy Gonzalez was forced to chug a gallon of a coffee/Red Bull mixture. Energy isn't athleticism. I need more smoothness than that.
Interestingly they had no problem whatsoever with the Warriors tonight, but I'm just not impressed or overly hopeful. Hauser and Matt were both hurt and I don't really think these guys can help us, other than maybe practice.
I thought Kabengele did the most Celticsish stuff tonight. Followed by Thomas and Justin Jackson.

That really tells me something, that in a tight game, with the momentum going for the other team, that the coach still trusts JD and Juhann to be the primary ball handlers -- even through Broderick Thomas has more experience.
JD looked very comfortable handling pressure defense. Juhann looks comfortable too, but he exposed it on a few plays and it cost him. But I like that he's not playing timid with the ball.
