Yup, this deserves its own thread. We need to secure Matt Ryan's rights, and let him get reps with the parent team.
His one skill set is exactly what we need -- a quick trigger deadly shooter who can knock down three's in a variety of ways.
And he's a feel good story too.

We have a two-way available, and given that he was driving for Door Dash last year he might take it, but we better hurry.

From theathletic.com:
“He’s pretty elite at, on the move, getting his shot organized, getting on balance, rising up,” said Celtics summer league coach Ben Sullivan. “And then he’s got the confidence. So if he gets himself organized, he looks up, he sees the rim, he can do that on the move, he can do that from a spot-up. I’m pretty impressed with how quickly he can get organized and into his shot no matter how quickly he’s moving east, west, north, south. When you can do that, then you can get a shot off at almost any time.”
and also:
“Matt’s got great confidence, great fundamentals, a quick release,” said Sullivan. “He puts a lot of pressure on the defense from the outside.”
Sullivan said he wants Ryan to “maximize his tools” at the other end of the court. At 6-foot-7, he has nice size for a perimeter player.
“Maybe you’re not the fastest guy or whatever, but you can use your strength, you can use your brains, you can be physical, you can be in the right spot,” Sullivan said. “If you’re not going to be the most dominant defender then you have to be good in all those other areas you can control.”
I believe we have enough roster spots for us to sign Ryan, a big man, and one more player - assuming JD stays on a two-way.
I can't believe Ryan would cost much. He's going to be thrilled just to get an NBA contract.
