Our starting 5 is set.
Our top bench players are Brogs, Gallo, GWill and DWhite (I'll leave Pritch off for now).
I don't know if Ime will go more than 10 deep.
So if we had to get one more solid bench piece, do you think it's more pressing to get a taller defensive wing? or a legit big man?

Definitely big man. One big is not reliable for health. Another is like 36 years old. The other is Kornet. We definitely definitely need another big. Maybe even two.

With multiple large guards (Smart, White, Brogdon) as well as Jaylen and Tatum, we have enough wing defenders IMO. We're much thinner up front.

Agree with Jmost and Eja. IMO winger defender is not an issue r n. Jaylen and Jayson are premier defensive wings. Malcolm and Marcus can guard 3s better than 90% of the SFs in the league. Defensively we are fine on the perimeter.

Kornet, they think, might be ready for that 3rd true big spot.
We could still bring in another big to give Horford and Rob more days off.
But I think we need a tall wing player (> 6'7") who can defend. When either Tatum or JB sit, we don't have a tall and athletic wing (DWhite is 6'4" and Gallo is too slow).

I'm starting to wonder if either Kabengele or Kornet could do what Theis did in the playoffs. Theis helped vs the Nets and Bucks. I wonder if these guys could. I think D Howard could. The big thing is whatever they would do I think they would do it for way less money.

The big thing is whatever they would do I think they would do it for way less money. Kornet is a versatile big, while Kabengele is a big body. Different types but different teams need to he defended differently. We know Kornet will be on the team -- we'll need to see if Kabengele makes it. Maybe we could nan Dwight H. or Richaun Holmes, etc.

Dan Greenberg makes a compelling argument for Dwight Howard as our 3rd true Big. I'd have more confidence in Dwight in rebounding and bodying up bigs than Luke or potentially Kabengele.

Howard seems like the best backup for Rob stylistically as each possesses roughly the same skill set.

If the C's are certain he'd be a good locker room fit i'd have no problem with them bringing dwight in. During the playoffs he'd prolly only play against Philly, but he'd be a great regular season asset to help keep miles off Rob and Al.
