Similar size but a totally different player, right? I think of Gallinari as a small forward in a 6'10" body, while Theis is a smallish PF/C, isn't he? DG is the far better shooter, but probably not as good a defensive player or rebounder.
The question I'd ask, is why didn't Theis play in the Finals? Not mobile enough to stay with GS players after switches? Is DG any better?

I'll have a more informed opinion after summer league, but we're going to need more bodies than are going to get rotation minutes anyway, so it may be several of them.

Beefing up the bench is what Brad is doing.
Already added Gallinari and Brogdon and shipped out Theis and Nesmith.
Depth as of today:
Top 5 off the bench Brogdon GWill DWhite Gallinari Pritch
Final 2 Hauser Kornet
I want Brad to further beef up our top 5 by getting a big man or a tall and athletic wing.

I wouldn't mind getting Rudy Gay or Carmelo Anthony to be a wing deep off the bench. Melo still has gas in the tank and spring in his step -- looked good last season.

If we are putting all our eggs in the basket for a title run this year, Brad has one more major move to make.
He did really well with the Brogdon acquisition, and the Gallinari pickup was nice.
But what we need is a wing who can spell time for Tatum and Jaylen.
Someome taller than DWhite and can crack the top 8.

Ok, so actually we are at 12 active players as we stand:
1 Rob 2 Horford 3 Tatum 4 Jaylen 5 Smart 6 Brogdon 7 GWill 8 DWhite 9 Gallinari 10 Hauser 11 Pritch 12 Kornet
Brad has the TPE still to use should he choose to use it (it's expiring very soon).
Do you guys think Brad will go the trade route to bring an upgrade into the 12? Or a free agent, who will bump one of our current 12 onto the inactive list?

You think Kornet gets pushed to the inactive roster?

IDK. In a long season there's always someone out with an injury, so don't know how much it matters.

I can totally see how Ime is going to incorporate Hauser into the offense. He's going to get some clean looks playing alongside of Tatum.

I thought Theis was a rotational player, however always called for a foul (right or wrong).
