Tony misses the first FT and hits the 2nd. Nets bring it up against some pressure from the Celts. Nets called for a 24 sec violation. Reed throws it away. Nets throw it away the other way. Greene's shot is no good and rebound out of bounds off the nets. Green hits a jumper from the FT line. Perk steals the pass inside and Greene gets a lay up. Wright fouled as he takes it to the basket. he misses the first and hits the 2nd. Perk drives the baseline and hits the reverse layup. Nets lost it and Tony hits a leaner in the lane and draws the foul. Tony misses the Ft and Reed gets the Rebound and lays it in. Nets win 103 - 83.
Doc had too many non scorers in at one time in the second and then he went away from the rotation that has been working for us. Perk played 22 minutes and Al only 19. Blount had his typical ineffective play. Banks didn't do much out there either. Very disappointing and I am afraid that Doc is going to go away from Perk and Al again.

Blount played 12 minutes and had 2 turnovers... just as effective as always. Tony got the Tommy Award. Sure hope Doc goes back to the 9 man rotation that played the last 2 games before this one and sticks with Perk/Al on monday.

My comments were not appropriate for a message board. That game was a The Celtics simply did not compete and showed no interest in competing. On a side note, Banks and Blount were put in during the 4th qtr to mop up. I think Reed was in there too. Scalabrine probably led the team in minutes played. This was a good example of New Jersey sticking it to us and there was nothing we could do about it. No playoffs for the Celtics this spring...... Keep playing Perkins, Jefferson, and Allen though.
