Can DWhite keep up his good play long term? I don't mean average 14 ppg and be the 4th best player -- but play aggressively and limit his turnovers and be a net positive whenever he's on the floor.

I don't see why not. He's not playing over his head or anything. He just needs to stay aggressive.

I think he and the team realizes we need him to play aggressively to be what we want to be. Moreso than him hitting threes, driving and pushing the tempo. Attack the paint and hit floaters or kick it out.

I think the reason the Celts won't have a 6th man of the year next year is they will cannibalize each other's stats. But to me D White and Grant W can both make a case for 6th man of the year soon, and I think Pritch could be the best 8th man in the league.
I also think they'll add a guy next year further cannibalizing that spot. My hope is they cannibalize minutes from starters.

One conclusion I think it's fair to draw from this year's playoffs is that health is more important than home court advantage, so maybe next year we see Al and Rob in particular being given games off - which means more minutes for bench guys throughout the year. We need at least one more quality big.

It's a prove it to me year for Nesmith. If he can be what I think he can be we'll be a man deeper. Give me another big man and a veteran PG and I'm happy.

Crossing fingers with Nesmith. I'm still hoping for a veteran wing this offseason, even if Nesmith takes a leap (he'll still be too green to depend on in the playoffs).
Need a solid big who is better than Theis.

If we only go 7 deep next year that means the only bench guys that play would be D White and G Will. If that happens I guarantee injuries galore. You can pretty much book an ICU bed for Rob Will if that happens. I think we need to go 9 or ten. I think seed matters way way less than fresh healthy legs in the playoffs. We need Al, Tatum, Smart, and Rob Will to play wwwaaaaaaayyyyy less minutes next year.

Right, I hope Ime doesn't go 8 deep, but rather at least 10.

I think Theis will be back. He's under contract for 2 more years with a team option for a 3rd, all at roughly $8 mil. I think he's fine against most teams but some teams abuse him and for them we need someone bigger. Regardless, I think he's part of your 10 man rotation in the regular season.

Theis would be my 11th man, ideally. And when rest days or foul trouble come up, he'll bump up and play more minutes.

Best thing I loved about White was how he sprinted behind guys and on several occassions stole the ball. I absolutely loved that hustle play. Not settling for just jogging back, he made Miami extra cautious and slowed down when they came across half court. Reminded me of the way Alvarado threw CP3 off his game in the Pelicans Suns series. Noone else on our team was bringing that level of peskiness.
