Delonte has turned the corner. Now we have a good chance for our college junior (Perk) to turn the corner too, and quite possibly Al J after that, but then I'm not sure where this team will go. But is it just me or has Delonte had one of the best month's for a pg in the league? And it's only his second season. he has become everything we dreamed either him or Banks becoming and that Derren dreamed Oriene becoming.

From a shooting percentage standpoint, he had one of the best stats among PG's this year. But from an overall statline, I'm sure guys there are others who can outdo him. But nonetheless, Celtics fans have a lot to be happy about with Delonte. He may not be that playmaking PG I hope for, but he's a winner, and winners know how to win. I'm more than comfortable with him being our future PG, even if he doesn't become a 10+ apg guy because I know he'll put up better scoring numbers, better rebounding numbers, a good amount of steals, and terrific defense.

I don't consider him a pure PG - more of a combo guard. But his decision making is solid, his work at the back end is very good, and with the help of Pierce, good combinations can happen.

My 'en dreams have Greene as the starting PG w/ GG at SG. West is off the bench, to move OG to 2 or play next to G$. This feels like good long-term depth to me. Let's see how OG and GG do first, I guess. West has proven to be a solid NBA player in the mean time. As he proves to be a starter, on a stud team, I'll just smile...

I'm still flipping the coin with Tony Allen and Orien Greene. On the one hand, I like the combination of two combo guards playing the backcourt (Tony and Delonte) because both of them are scoring threats who can also make solid passes (Tony Allen is actually an underrated playmaker--in many ways, he's better than Delonte when it comes to creating shots for others).
But I also like the traditional PG with Delonte acting as the secondary PG/scoring guard (Orien and Delonte). But for me to be happy with this combination, Orien needs to become a better scorer--I already feel as if he's going to be a solid assist guy, but he needs to develop his scoring so that teams can't lay off of him.

Here is a transcript of the chat: And this is why I love this guy. He has absolutely no quit in him. He will do anything in his power to win. He may not be flashy, but he has a desire to not lose. He will sacrifice anything to win. He epitomizes what a Boston Celtic is all about. .

Yep, he's an old school Celtic in every sense. No frills, no flash, just straight up solid basketball using a ton of heart and toughness. Great to have him on the team, great pickup by Ainge.
