Tatum has embraced his role as the superstar of this team, as we all expected. But I sure did not expect Jaylen to shine like this when I watched him at Cal and when we took him with the 3rd pick.
He has polished his game a whole lot, and has been a guy who comes through with big plays.
When Tatum fouled out in Game 4, when the game was super close, I knew that Jaylen would have to be the guy, but I wondered if he would cave under the pressure (being on the road in a must win game for BRK with under 2 minutes). And he looked good and comfortable and came through.
At only 25, he's still maturing his game. And what an amazing sidekick he is and will be in a few more years.

I held out for a long time against the idea that Tatum was the better player than Brown. I felt that Tatum's numbers (pts/rebs/assists) were a little higher but Brown was more efficient (better shooting percentage). And I believed until this year that Brown was the better defensive player. I have to acknowledge now though that JT is the alpha and Brown the very worthy sidekick. I'm just glad they've learned to play together this year and that there is no jealousy between them. We're lucky to have them both. Just think, we could have picked Dragan Bender and Markelle Fultz.

Hahaha, and I advocated for both Fultz and Bender.
What's great about our duo is when one is hot, the other gets out of their way. They've grown to let one another shine.
Jaylen is capable of going on 10-0 runs on his own.
