On another note, Barkley had a funny line in the post-game show. He asked if the Nets were going to hang a play-in banner in the arena. I have little patience for almost all sports talk shows, but the TNT gang is always entertaining and often illuminating. Ernie asked how high Tatum had risen in this series and Shaq immediately said "High". Like that crew. Kenny has good insight, and Chuck offers nuggets here and there (I mostly ignore Shaq, he just likes to hear himself talk). I also like Shannon and Skip, mostly for entertainment value (Shannon cracks me up).

One of the things that came out of the Nets series, for me at least, is the last of my doubts about this team being put to rest. As the Celtics blew out team after team, home and road, over late Jan, Feb, Mar and Apr it was clear they had become much, much better. But I had one lingering thought: Can they win close games against good teams in the playoffs? Well, now we know.

Yup, same here. Especially winning Game 4 on the road when they knew the crowd was going to be hostile, and Kevin Durant was going to come out like a bandit because all the world was calling him an embarrassement -- then to be up just one point with 20 seconds left with BRK having momentum with Tatum already fouled out because the refs were trying to give the game to BRK -- and still close out the game!!!
