Still trying to figure out what Philly was thinking. Did they think LA was going to take Markelle at [HASH]2? For what its worth, I too believed in Fultz. The tape was there. The hype seemed real. If not for injuries both physically and mentally, I saw Fultz's potential to be Dame Lilard. And if you were LA, if we took Tatum No.1 (as Ainge has said repeatedly that he was always the target), then there is no way you pass up on Fultz over Ball. Despite all the UCLA connections etc. Fultz was significantly more promising than Ball. So the Sixers moved up to guarantee themselves Fultz, and LA settled for Ball because they already had Brandon Ingram and Julius Randle...there wasnt alot of need for them to take Tatum when they thought those spots were filled.

Ah, I see it now. Philly made the trade with us fearing that Fultz would be taken at #2 by the Lakers. All this time I thought they were locked in with Ball no matter if Tatum or Fultz was there.

And I don't think he's played his best yet.

And I don't think he's played his best yet. Despite all the accolades, JT does have a tendency to go completely missing in some games. I really don't know how someone so talented and skilled could be so invisible sometimes.

It seems as though the Celtics fell into a pattern of letting Brown take the scoring load in the first quarter and Tatum later on. Maybe that's made Tatum somewhat passive early in games? There have been times in these playoffs where we'd be down big early, like 15-20 points, and he's barely taken a shot.

Tatum has to learn how to dominate like Jimmy Buckets.

And how come this was never brought up in this past?? Wow, Tatum's connection to BOS goes back generations!

Can Tatum figure out how to blend playmaking for others and looking for his own?
I think that'll be the key in Game 2.

JT, to be like Kobe, you need to go for the kill like the Black Mamba would. Need to come out steong and have a great game to put the Warriors in an 0-2 hole.

I think Tatum's lower half needs more strengthening. Because his base is light, he cannot power his way to where he wants to go. That's why he relies more on finess.

I agree I think Tatum needs to gain about 7 pounds of muscle. Jaylen needs two. Pritch and Grant need to work on quickness and endurance. Rob Williams needs to work on his legs. Smart could stand to lose three pounds and get quicker and better endurance.
