Facing Kyrie and Durant in the opening round of the playoffs is a good thing. Sure there is the possibility we get ousted -- but still it's good.
If we lose, it'll leave such a sour and disgusted taste in our mouths that I'm sure every player will have great motivation to get better. I'll say that losing in the opening round will agitate the guys far more than losing in the ECF. They're going to come back hungrier and more focused.
If we win, what a confidence booster it will be to carry us to the next round. Beating Durant, who is still elite, and Kyrie who is in his prime, will remove any doubt from the team's mind.

I'd rather have played Chicago, but i do agree that if they beat the Nets in round one that's an awfully big feather in their cap.

Agreed, I didn't mind the Nets in the 1st round. Their defense is porous. We need to get some stops and match their offensive firepower...and watching JT and JB, I'm feeling good about being able to match that.

The last 15 games of the season, we were ranked [HASH]1 in Off rating, [HASH]1 Def rating, and [HASH]1 in Net rating.
BRK surprisingly was [HASH]9 in Def rating (and [HASH]4 in Off, and [HASH]4 in Net).
For most of the second half of the season we were ranked in the top 5 for Off and Def, even holding the top ratings for both. If that is indication of the true identity of this team, then we should take down BRK.
