Who do you think is the Celtic most deserving of the award for Most Improved (on the team, not in the league)?

You know what's beautiful about that question? There are so many good answers!
I think a good case can be made for Grant, but I'm going to go with Rob. This is the year that Rob became more than a potentially game-changing player and established himself as a genuine threat on both ends of the court.

I think I'd take Rob, but GWill and Tatum are right there. Rob finally started figuring out how to defend in space, and he's also his lateral movement is much improved. You can tell he doesn't have to think about it as much, he just instinctively knows where to be.

I think it goes to GWill.
Last year, Rob was already making a name for himself. In our elimination from last year's playoffs, BRK's players highly complimented Rob's defense.
But Grant was abyssmal last season. So much so that Celtics' fans didn't want him.
The gap between who he was last year to who he is this year is wider than Rob's gap, I think.

I'd actually say Smart in the 2nd half. The changes he has made to his game were one of the key reasons for our surge. But I couldn't argue against GWill either. He is a valuable guy off the bench or in spot starts.

Yup, Smart is another excellent candidate.
I went from trying to figure out which Smart trade would net us the best return, to now thinking our championship hopes include him.

Rwill went from an above average guy to one of the best defenders in the league and a borderline all star. We already knew smart and Tatum could be good

And Smart with the well-deserved DPOY! Does that make him most improved? Or just finally being recognized after all these years?

With his defensive performance against Giannis in Game 2, Grant may have just earned himself a big contract when it's time. I mean, how many Giannis stoppers are there in this league? Who can also go 6-9 on 3s? With Giannis only being 27, he's going to be in our way right through the Tatum/Brown years. Well after Butler is gone from MIA and Harden from PHI, and KD from BKN, Giannis will be there. I think we need to pay him whatever it takes to keep him. Not bid against ourselves, but match pretty much any offer.

Amen!
Do you feel he can be the eventual starter to replace Horford?

I don't know. I think Grant will still struggle against much taller players in the low post. And I think he's still vulnerable to giving up offensive rebounds. But he's surprised me in the past. And the Warriors have done ok with Draymond playing center.

Amen! Do you feel he can be the eventual starter to replace Horford? I think in a pinch he could start, but i think in an ideal world he is a valuable sub off the bench. Getting him signed to a long-term deal this summer has to be a major priority.

We still have Rob Will playing Center. So if anything Grant is the backup PF or the starting PF next to Rob. Exactly. GWill's brute strength will slow his man down and Rob will be timing the blocked shot.
