Welcome to the Show!!
The real season begins where the weight of every game and every possession is tremendous.
This is when men separate themselves from boys, and stars from good players.
JT and JB have already shone in the spotlight in many playoff series, so they're not in question.
Who else will shine? And I don't necessarily mean carry the team to victory or score 50. Just who will play well beyond their season average?

I think Horford will show out in this first series. Without Rob he's gonna have a lot on his shoulders, and he's more than ready for it. Hopefully in later series it will be Rob.

Gee, Fresh! You must have been waiting to see a new post! You respond barely after this was posted!
Horford, huh? I hope so. I hope his 3 ball is falling at a high clip.

As far as scoring well beyond their season average, I'll go with Pritch, just because he's a regular rotation player now and wasn't early in the year. I also think he has no nerves at all in big moments.
But I'm looking for D White to shine. With Rob out, I think we're going to finish the game with Al, JT, JB, Smart and White, and Derrick should have some opportunities with the D focusing on the Jays.

I definitely think Smart is going to step up. I think Horford will have one bad game, one truly excellent one, and two good ones. I'm pretty nervous for G Will. I hope he doesn't shoot it too much. I think D White could definitely step up

Smart also has a ton on his shoulders in this series. I can see him guarding Durant AND Irving at different times this series.

Pritch gets my vote. He's fearless. I see him putting 20+ pt games twice.
DW is also in consideration, but I think he will look to pass the ball more.

I could see GWill quietly giving us 4-5 3pters a game because I've watched games where teams forget he exists and he gets wide open 3pt corner shots. Next thing you know, we're up 10 because of GWill.

Next thing you know, we're up 10 because of GWill. Haha, spot on! I can see that happening -- there'll be a spurt when GWill drills 3 consecutive three's and BRK will call an immediate timeout, and Grant will be poking his chest saying, "Who's Batman?"!!

Grant deserves so much credit for how reliable he's become on those corner and baseline 3s. Love that guy. He's already looking better than the last binkie of mine that they took with a 20-something first round pick (Sullinger).

I think the answer to this question is Grant Williams.
Not only with knocking down 3s, but also defensively.

Grant did a great job against the slimmer Durant..I wonder if he can handle the much stronger Giannis 1 on 1

I wonder if Durant lost a couple of steps recently.
Not only did Tatum absolutely own KD, but Grant pretty close to shut him down, and even soon to be 36 year old Horford was able to lock him down.
Everyone was able to pretty much stay in front of him.

Horford shined in a big way in Game 3.
Will he shine big again?
