Rob Williams left in the 4th quarter, and in the post game,Udoka said Rob was in quite a bit of pain, and will get an MRI tomorrow.
Oh no.
Hope it's nothing, but it could be something.
Long term, I'd like for Brad to find Rob's backup, some one who can bring what Rob brings so that is he goes down, we'll have a guy who can hold down the fort.

Oof, I hope it's nothing serious.
I think that is why Brad traded for Theis. Theis is under contract for a few more years, and i think he was brought back to be Rob's backup. As long as we get a 3rd big for those rare occasions where we match up with a big center that can score down low, I think Theis is a fine backup 5 in today's NBA.

Torn meniscus. Out indefinitely. If surgery, he won't be back this season. If no surgery, rest and rehab and see if he can play through the discomfort.
Next man up.

Maybe Theis takes his place. Maybe we slide Horford to the 5 and start GWill at the 4.
Or maybe we go small and play JT at the 4 and Derrick White at the 2.

Rob will have surgery in the next few days. I guess that means he's done for the year.
Udoka (and maybe it's coach talk) sounds confident that Theis can be used similarly to how Rob was used.

Done for the regular season, but he could easily be back for the second round of the playoffs. Everyone responds differently, but he's young and healthy and should be a fast healer. In the meantime, if we fall to 4th behind MIA, MIL and PHI, it's not going to hurt us much, if at all.

In the meantime, Theis will be put in the pressure cooker to get the defensive schemes down pat.

Its hard to feel comfortable with Rob as our center going forward. When healthy he is an absolute stud, but I think we need to constantly think about options as the backup 5 spot.

Woj is now reporting that there's some optimism that Rob could be back after 4 weeks or even sooner.

Lol is Aron Baynes around and willing to come off the bench? He was decent for us. We just need to survive round 1 of the playoffs and maybe round 2. I think Rob could be back by the ECF
