The debate has become real, as the team is dominating and Tatum is shining.
Most have Jokic, Giannis, and Embiid as the top 3.
After that you can probably list Doncic, maybe Morant.
Does Tatum fit in after them? in between? before them?
Lebron, Curry and Durant belong somewhere in there.

If you want to win a game tomorrow he's probably behind Curry and Bron. If you want to win one next year he's probably ahead. I might include CP3 in that as well. I guess he's ahead of Tre Young for now. Probably ahead of Booker.
He's ahead of Donovan Mitchell. He's probably ahead of Harden. Way ahead of Anthony Davis. Maybe a little ahead of KAT. Ahead of LaVine. DeRozen might be better for winning a game tonight. LaMelo is on his tail. He's way ahead of anyone in Orlando or New Orleans or Houston. Or Oklahoma City.
So he floats in the 6 to 12 range.

That's tough. I'd prolly have him around [HASH]10, but he's def climbing the list, whereas guys like Lebron and Steph will soon be dropping off. Man, KD is still a monster tho. That dude needs to retire soon lol. Still think about what this team could've been if they had talked him in to signing here that one off-season.

I think what will change most people's mind is if Tatum plays at this level or better for an entire year.
He had a rough start and surely did not look like a top 15 player. But the turnaround has been remarkable, and if he can sustain it for an entire year, the opinions will change.

For me it's about what he does in the playoffs. He's certainly moving up the list, but until he leads his team to playoff victories against top-notch competition he still has a lot to prove.

Absolutely. And the good thing is, we know he CAN play like a superstar in the playoffs and win games -- he's been doing it since his rookie year. He, Jaylen, Smart and Horford have been to the East conference finals multiple times, and Tatum hs been the guy to carry them there. If he does it again this time, playing the way he has been since January (like a top 7 player), he'll be in the conversation.
