Looking ahead to this summer. Some interesting names at the top (which I have no idea how we'd fit financially). Beal Wall Lavine Lots of lesser guys who could bolster our bench. www.spotrac.com/nba/free-agents/

If Tatum keeps it up, then I'd be looking at how we have better bench depth and big man backups. If we do get anyone, I'd rather be aiming for backup depth like Zubac or if we have any cap space...to try get Bamba.

With the acquisition of DWhite there's hardly no way boston can get under the cap next year. What I'm not sure of is if boston will qualify for the full MLE (around 10 mill/year) or the tax payer MLE (around 3.5mil/year). That will decide a lot as to what the team can do next year. I think the biggest movement will come in trading Al's partially-guaranteed deal for someone of value. Also, I wonder if Wyc and co. may try to do one more year under the luxury tax apron, because after next year they'll have to pay Grant Williams, and while i dont think he'll break the bank, i think his deal will all but guarantee that boston will be over the cap.
One thing Im guessing boston will do is sign a 3rd string center to a vet minimum contract, kind of like they did with Enes Freedom this year. A guy i'd like to see them go after is Robin Lopez. Dude's got the bulk to try bang with Embiid, and he's been around forever and could teach Rob a thing or two.

If we are gonna continue with Smart as our primary point guard, i think bringing in Avery Bradley on a cheap deal would be a wise move. He can still play defense and shoot well. Let him guard opposing PGs and Smart can concentrate on the other teams best SG or SF.

TJ Warren would be a good candidate to play the James Posey role (if he's interested in winning a championship as a bench player for the MLE).

I just read a slightly compelling case for Otto Porter Jr

Yeah, saw that. He might see his chances for a title better playing for us and not the Warriors.
Otto Porter, TJ Warren and any who fit the 3-D mold, the Celtics are currently taking applications.

I like Porter, but I've read he loves the bay area, so i wouldnt be shocked if they figured out a lonterm deal for him in Golden State.
Warren has a unique game. An old-school mid-range game. but to his credit he worked hard and made himself a very good 3pt shooter. but is he defense up to snuff? I know that was the knock on him early in his career.

If Derrick Jones Jr could be more of a perimeter threat, I can see him being Brad's target this summer. He's a slashing 2/3.
Taurean Prince would be really nice, but he maybe he likes the TWolves' upside. Plus he'll cost a pretty penny.

Jeff Green might be a solid veteran wing who could help complete our bench. He'll be cheap.

Joe Ingles might not be the defender we want all our players to be (but then again, he was an important cog for Utah), but he could be that wily 6'8" veteran, ala Boris Diaw, who can pass and make plays as a complementary role player.
34 year old UFA this summer, coming off a serious knee injury. I'm sure not many teams will be calling him. Will he want to ring chase for cheap?

Another savvy 6'8" veteran UFA wing is Kyle Anderson, who we've had interest in this trade deadline.
Udoka was an assistant with the Spurs when Anderson was there, so he's well acquainted with what KA can do.

Like a top 20 protected pick or two 2nds and $100K

Experience goes a long ways.
