Is there a chance that Harrison Barnes can be a productive and beneficial 4 for us? He's got a sturdy body for SF and I've always thought he can play a bit at the 4 in spurts.
At 29 years old, he's still got some tread on his tires.
Wondering if he can be in the mix for Horford's eventual replacement?

i do, but unfortunately with trading for sabonis i think sacto is not ready to rebuild. i think they're gonna keep that core together at least through next year.

I read an interesting article recently that suggested our recent upswing coincided with taking Robert off guarding the opposing center, which would suggest to me that any eventual replacement for Al would be more of a center than a PF. Or at least a guy capable of guarding opposing centers. If I can find the article I'll post a link. Edit: so, this isn't the article I mentioned, but it describes the same thing. www.one37pm.com/strength/sports/robert-williams-saved-boston-celtics

Brad did have an interest in Jalen Smith, who is PF/C. I was thinking of guys like Goga Bitadze and Isaiah Hartenstein, but probably the Jalen Smith type is more the target.

And look at Jalen Smith putting the nails in our coffin as we attempt to fight a 15 pt late 4th quarter comeback. Just keeps hitting them 3s.
He's a free agent this summer. Let's see if Brad makes an offer for him.

He has the length to disrupt opposing 5s. And G-Will off the bench has the strength not to get bullied by them in the paint.
