I wasn't big on the tacko train. I see something in bol bol though. He's very skinny but mobile and can pass the ball and a versatile player and likes to attack the rim. It's been a while since we have found someone who can really play out of nowhere. I don't know if Bol Bol will be it but the Celtics themselves think he is intriguing player. I agree.
Tacko was very tall and people went nuts over him for that very reason. It was a facad. His one asset was he is taller than everyone else. He was too slow and his energy level is not good. Bol Bol if he puts on some weight and really continues to attack the rim and play versatile looks like he could be a player. He could just be another face and failed project for all i know though. Hopefully he is a hard worker. Those are things you can't really measure.
Like i said in the other thread there is a lot of talent in the league. Whether it's him or not. Even Dozier has some upside. I thought he was already here though so I'm confused. I don't know about star upside with him though but could be another javonte green. It would seem plausible to find a player who really wants to be a star and get paid somewhere in the league.
Is it that crazy to think Bol Bol has star potential? I'm not expecting Giannis here, he's too skinny but maybe we should. Why not? He runs the floor. He passes. He can shoot. He attacks the rim. He's active on defense. He's very skinny. I've heard the Durant comparisons. Are they crazy? He's gotta grow and playing big minutes may be an issue as far as injuries but I could see him going on a run if he does.
