We've got a crowded roster, and if what Udoka says happens, we may be bringing in more veterans who fit our team.
So, something's got to give -- and I'd guess these are the players we may be saying goodbye to.
Kris Dunn Bruno Fernando Carsen Edwards Grant Williams Romeo Langford
The last two guys may still have some slack on their leash, but they're going to have to prove to this coaching staff that they've got what it takes to keep them. I'm not ready to move on from yet just yet.
Carsen should be let go already. It won't be hard to replace him.

I would keep Fetnando. He is the perfect 2 way contract right now. He has tools that can be developed.
The rest if those guys are very easy to replace.

If we keep Smart, Dunn has to go, because we're not keeping both of them AND Schroeder and Pritch.
Edwards will be playing in China next year.
I still think we're thin at PF, so Grant and maybe Fernando too have a shot at staying.
Romeo didn't play last night, a not uncommon thing in summer league, so I expect he'll get a lot of minutes next game, and I also wouldn't be surprised if Pritch and Nesmith sit out, so Romeo might get a chance to kind of be THE GUY for a game, and I'll be interested to see what he can show.

Liked Bruno coming out of Maryland -- if he's going to stick in the NBA, he'a going to have to be a physical Center who disrupts guys from their comfort zone.
Langford's problem is he's a player whose game is in the mold of, say, Jayson Tatum, Lebron, etc. Wings who fascilitate. Except he doesn't have the capacity to reach their level. Romeo will need to learn to be a slasher and cutter and spot up shooter. He's got to rework his playing style (or maybe earn his way as a bench Point Forward?).

The first three guys seem pretty likely to me.

Since Brad took over, he's said that he wants to bring in guys who have edge and are competitors (how much would Brad love to get Davion Mitchell, or Donovan Mitchell).
In addition to his constant injuries, what has sadly gotten me to move on from Romeo Langford is that he doesn't have that edge, and I don't sense that win at all cost persona. Maybe it's there and I just don't see it.

Now with Carsen and Dunn gone, we can clearly see Brad is trimming off the fat. We'll see what he does with Bruno Fernando and Jabari Parker.
More closer to home is what he'll do with Romeo Langford and Grant Williams. I think their place on the roster has been safer compared with Tacko and Tremont and Carsen. But we'll see how much Brad and Udoka want them on the team.
