Will we be the team that finally reaps the fruits of Jabari Parker's vast potential?
Parker has jumped from one team to another in his 6 seasons in the NBA. Knee injuries have zapped a portion of his explosiveness, and he appears to have trouble with keeping his weight down (I don't think I've ever seen him toned). But the raw ability is there.
With Tatum and Brown entrenched as the brighter stars, Jabari will do well to accept a role as a high level complementary player. He could have a Sean Elliot type role.
He needs to work on his body, tighten up his dribbling, and learn to be more productive without having the ball much. That will possibly resurrect his career.

He certainly showed that he still has talent that few on the current roster possess. If he can get and stay healthy there's no question he's an upgrade over guys like Semi and Grant. I like him as a bench scorer and at $2.3 million for 21-22 he's not hurting us cap-wise. Let's see what he does under the new coach/system.

Parker has never been explosive. In Duke he had an arsenal of offensive moves that translated well to the NBA because it didn't rely on athleticism. It was the soft floaters, the post-moves, etc. But even when healthy, he was a poor defender.
At this stage in his career, he looks like a bench spark.
I mean, when was the last time we saw a player change his body shape completely mid-career? I can't think of any.
