Are there any players that any of you think can be good additions to us at the deadline that will help us but at the same time not stunt the growth of the young kids?
One guy I have in mind is Nazr Mohammed. He is an expiring contract I believe, and if worse came to worse we could just let him go at the end of the season. He seems to be getting NO playing time out in SA and I remember last year with the Knicks he did well. I was actually surprised when Isaiah traded him (wait a minute, it's Isaiah no I wasn't).
But seriously, I am not sure if he is injured or what but with the Knicks he was averaging 11 pts and 8 brds, and shooting a good percentage. I think Perk and Nazr is better than Perk and Blunt, although Blunt is a better "scorer", Nazr is stronger, a better defender, and a much better rebounder. I really do not like speculating and creating trades as you all know, but minor moves I am in favor of. Maybe picking him up would not be a bad idea (if we can get rid of one of the other bigs) and shed other contracts.

Dennis Rodman. This team needs all the help it can get rebounding, and DR is a rebounding machine. Plus, he provides defense to match his rebounding. Perhaps could be signed for only the rest of the season.

I say Moses Malone. That guy was the bomb, and he's barely fifty! And how about Bob Pettit? That dude put up crazy numbers. My Grandma lives at the same retirement home as Pettit, and she says he walks a 1/4 mile every morning! Sounds like he keeps himself in game shape. Lets sign him up.

I am sorry to break this to you guys, but Moses Malone is not walking through that door.
Bob Pettit is not walking through that door.
Not even Dennis Rodman is walking through that door!
You need to accept that.

I suppose Rick Pitino is not walking through the doors either.

I dunno man, I've heard through the grapevine that Pettit is setting up a news conference tomarrow. I think he's ready to come back.

As a matter of fact we should bring back all of the old Celtics. We can reunite the Big 3, Bird (Indy) McHale (Minny) and Chief (Beantown)
Ainge can be the coach and come off the bench as 6th man.
I did see Jo Jo White the other night.
Tommy could play some power forward and then provide commentary with Gorman when he gets taken out for breathers.
The Cous could play 10 games out of the year for the games he broadcasts.
Starting lineup
5-Chief 4-McHale 3-Bird 2-Pierce 1-West
Bench
Perk Big Al Tommy Ainge Ricky T Allen White Cousy
Maybe some of THESE guys will walk through that door?
