Hello everyone...It's been a good while...Been away from the gm & haven't really been back to any level I was once. The gm isn't the same & the league has become woke now along w/all the other leagues, but that's another story...Anyway I do keep up w/the team somewhat & I've seen/heard the talk of maybe it's time to get rid of Brad etc. I think it's foolishness. It'd be a world record from the time Brad was let go to how fast he'd have a new job. A NY nanosecond if that. I think DA is more the culprit here myself. We've had this team of Brown, Tatum, more recently Kemba, for a while now & even I have seen they can only go but so far. Give DA credit for his moves in getting us Brown, Tatum, Horford, Banes, and that crew which had us among the teams that could possibly win it all. But since we've been barely treading water even falling behind. W/the Nets as a super team & and Philly passing us we're always going to be behind at least Philly until we shake up this team or Philly decides to break up their team. As good as the Brown/Tatum core combo is we're only going so far w/just those two unless we get another star/up & comer (draft, trade, FA). Kemba's been underwhelming to me & I've yet to see w/any type of consistency the guy that once touched us for what was it 50-60 one gm? DA's going to have to part w/one of them to move this team to the next level. My advice is to use Brown to try to get a top 3 pk in this years draft & draft the kid out of USC Evan Mobley who's been projected to go [HASH]2 from what I've seen. He's a 7-footer w/KG type athleticism. He can play w/his back to the basket or face up. He's nice touch on his shot for a guy his size, & he's still growing. W/Embiid in Philly we've no one to really check him & I'm not saying this kid is ready to now. What I am saying is that this kid's athleticism will at least make him have to keep up w/him. It's pretty much the type of piece we've been missing since KG. I don't think he's the mean streak KG had at least not now but under Brad & w/some other moves I think this team would be ready to move to the next level sooner rather than later...

FWIW according to the numbers so far Jabari Parker has been a decent addition. A good 10th man and cheap

Kornet has been a decent 11th man addition too. But shake ups aren't usually about bench players. And Fournier has done nothing since he got here other than get sick

I'm seeing part of the Spurs game. Perk just said if he was a betting man he wouldn't bet a quarter on the Celtics.
If I were Ainge I would destroy all this. I'd start with Brad. I'd suspend him or something and coach the team myself for a few weeks.

IMHO E, Brad isn't really the issue as much as DA is now. This team as it's constructed w/its core of JT, JB, MS, & KW isn't going to cut it. Kemba hasn't been what the team thought they were getting when they signed him and that was the 3rd piece of a big 3. The moment the team decides to part ways w/Brad he'll break the world's record for finding a job after being fired. If Philly folds in the ECF or under performs then look for Simmons to be traded. I'm not saying we should get him but it'll be the realization that they've gone as far as they can w/that team as constructed and it's time to make a big change and the window w/Embiid in his prime yrs will stay open only so long. The same is true w/JT, JB, MS, etc...

I wonder if the knicks would be interested in Kemba if they strike out in free agency?

I'd certainly find out Fresh...Btw I hear they might be interested in Zion Willimson who's going to be a FA this year...I do however, respectfully disagree w/the statement in the opening of the comments from the other side from gm 1 vs BKN as to DA keeping this core together. JB isnt' the difference in us winning the title this yr which ties in w/my other point and neither are the young guns though I wouldn't be against using a couple/few in a trade. Eja, I read your post about DA's draft record & there's some merit to it. I don't necessarily believe that DA misses so much because I don't think there was much in those classes in terms of guys that worked out. It's not like there were 5-7+ guys in those drafts that we just whiffed on. The NBA as you all know is a league of superstars. Unless you have a top 10 or so player in the league its going to be hard to win the chip. JT is good but he's not at that level yet, he's not a true killer yet IMO & I don't know if he'll ever be a true killer. Killer's : Kobe, Ray Allen, Pierce, KG, etc guys w/killer instinct. Reps for sticking the dagger through the heart or putting the final nail in the coffin. Which is why I proposed the trade I did in this thread. Just as a side note. I was a fan of Semi when he came out & I think we misused him in making him a 3pt shooter which part of his gm in college but it wasn't how he made a name for himself. But still, I still believe a change to the core needs to be made to this team if we're going to compete & eventually pass the LALs, BKNs, Phillys of the league....

Zion still has two years left on his rookie deal. And even then, NOLA will be able to match any contract offers he gets. He's gonna be a Pelican for at least two more years.

Thanks Fresh...I stand corrected:D...I thought this was the last yr on Zion's deal...Though you're right about NO being able to out bid any team I wouldn't be surprised if he wants out of NO...I don't think there's any future there when the bright lights of the big market teams start calling, but we'll see. I did see however on NBCSports.com a couple of things that interested me. One being the top 30 FAs this year & Bobby Portis was on that list. I don't know if I'd put it out here on this site but when Terry Rozier was going into the final yr of his contract I told people I wanted to trade Rozier for him. I think he would've been exactly what this team needed & still needs really. Also though I'm not a big fan of Max, he did say that a shake up is needed on this team & suggested trading Brown. I like the guys he's talked about Towns from Min & Porter from Den. Either my idea of trading for the [HASH]2 pk in the draft or the Maxwell plan I think would be a big step in the right direction...
