It was announced before the game that the team has decided to place Gerald Green in the NBDL. Ainge doesn't know how long he will be there, but for the time being, that is where he'll be.
This might be a good move at this time. Green has been with the parent team for over 2 months, learning a lot from Pierce and Ricky, and also packing on 18 lbs since he was signed.
Now its time for him to start spreading his wings and executing what he's learned. There's only so much you can do in practice. Now, he'll be able to get game experience, even though its against inferior competition. If anyone wants to make a running thread for Celtics Green and constantly monitor his stats for us after every game, please let one of the staff members know.

From the Herald:
Green will actually be going to the Fayetteville (N.C.) Patriots, instead of the Florida Flame, the Celts’ assigned NBDL affiliate. “We just talked it over with the NBA, and in Florida there’s just a logjam right now, especially at the shooting guard position,” said Danny Ainge, who will accompany Green on Monday and for the first four or five days. “We feel like the best opportunity for Gerald to go down and get an opportunity to play minutes right now would be at Fayetteville. It was actually (the NBA’s) idea initially. “Bracey Wright’s averaging 40 minutes a game and 27 points (for Florida). And Dorrell Wright was sent down there and he’s played a game or two. They’re both shooting guards. Fayetteville could use a guy like Gerald. We want him to play. That’s the whole point of it.”
Glad that the NBA has allowed Gerald to play closer to home, and with a team that will actually have the space to play him. I wouldn't want Gerald to go to the NBDL to just sit and not play.

I have NBATV and will be trying to check those games out. I'll try to post info and comments regarding his performances for those of you who won't be able to see the games if any of you would like.
Derren, maybe we can even make a seperate thread for feedback on the Gerald Green games? Just an idea.
(Sorry guys, I just noticed that the games are during the daytime. I'll be at work, but if they are repeated in the evenings or on the weekend I will try to check them out.)

FL12 and RR have both volunteered to put something together that covers Gerald's stats and performances. I'm leaving it up to the both of them how they want to tackle it, so if you guys want to chip in with some ideas, you can PM them.

When the need for a thread comes, we can just lock one. Everyone can post at will.

I told RR to take the lead and we will alternate posting info on the games and will post articles and other info to let us know how he is doing. I am going to try to watch the games and post some info from his play in them. RR is going to make the thread. I think he was going to post it on the Calling All Hoop Boards. I have the local paper and the D League sites bookmarked to post any news. Any suggestions or requests would be welcomed.

Actually, I would suggest keeping the thread on this board. This board gets the most attention, and if you put it in the Calling All Hoops Board, it won't get the attention it will here.
All Celtics fans should be interested in how Green is doing, so I'm sure no one would have any opposition to keeping the thread on this board.

I agree. You should keep it on this board.
