Here's my top 7. What are yours?
MIL (added Jrue Holiday) NY Nets (Durant is supposedly all the way back; if Kyrie isn't a cancer they could be really good.) BOS MIA (young guys will continue to get better) PHI (added some shooters; hardest team to figure for me.) IND (too good to fall; not good enough to climb) TOR (still have some good players but are mostly aiming for the summer of '21)
The order will no doubt be different, but I'm not sure who else can crack the top 7.

In Eastern Conference news, Giannis just signed a 5 year supermax with the bucks. good for milwaukee. rather him there than miami or LA.

Jimmy Butler will be an aging star in a few years, so MIA will be without a superstar (I don’t think Bam or Herro are future superstars). Ben Simmons doesn’t score from outside of 15 feet, so he won’t become a superstar. Embiid? Big question mark. So those two teams are not long term threats. It’ll be us and MIL, if they can go get other stars for Giannis (Holiday is creeping up there in age).

I hate the trend of free agent stars forming super teams with each other, mostly in warm weather cities. LeBron did it in MIA and basically did the same in LA, although technically AD was acquired by trade.

He is the most overrated player in the league in my opinion.

In contrast, we’re building a young core of good character, well rounded players.

I think Simmons could be the 2nd best player on a team. But you need a guy that can go one on one in clutch moments to win big playoff games, and he's not that guy yet. But I'd love to see what simmons could do if you surrounded him with shooters. He's a great passer and he can create havoc in the lane. He's a helluva defender too.

That’s why they were tougher with Butler, and they had shooters too.

Just read an article about a poll of NBA GMs, predicting the top four teams in the East. Getting the most votes for each position were:
1) MIL 2) BRK 3) MIA 4) BOS
4% of the GMS thought we would win the East. None thought we would win the title. 81% picked the Lakers.
One notable sentiment was that TT was one of the more underrated signings of the offseason.
