Robert Williams, speaking of last season’s elimination from the ECF, said the team needed to be mentally tougher. Not that MIA was the better team, or that we didn’t have a healthy Kemba and Hayward, but mental toughness wasn’t at the level it needed to be.
This is surprising to me in a way, because for such a young team, I thought we are pretty mentally tough. But apparently RWill, who’s in the lockerroom and in the huddle, sensed we were lacking it.
Great thing is Tatum, Jaylen and Smart have made it to 3 ECF’s already in their young careers, and with each experience they are learning what they need to do.

They have losing ECF experience. They need winning experience. I agree with RWill that we are a soft team. They need vets to teach them that toughness.

Jaylen appears to be trying to be more vocal (and dare I say, mean). Tatum certainly is not Kobe like in that manner either. We need some instigators.

That is why I liked Morris. Hopefully Thompson can bring some of that to us. If he can stay healthy that is.
