Evan Turner is returning to Boston, but not to play on the court. We’re adding him to the coaching staff to help develop players.

Wow, I didn't know ET had reached the end of his playing career. I guess it makes sense that he returns to work with the coach who got the most out of him.

I'm pretty shocked ET is doing this. I think he could still make some fine money playing in Europe. Italy or Lithuania or Greece always struck me as a pretty nice retirement. But maybe he has kids and doesn't want to leave the US.

Evan (his agent) was the one who approached Danny about the assistant coaching position. Brad likes Evan and thought it’d be good to have a former player on his staff, so it made sense. Ainge said Turner is a good communicator.
