I haven't seen anyone who thinks Charlotte made a smart move by signing GH for so much, and so long. I don't want this to sound like sour grapes, but in terms of how much we'll miss Hayward, there were honestly times in the Miami series when I found myself thinking, when Herro and Robinson were knocking down 3's and GH was missing wide open ones, why are we paying so much for this guy? I wish Gordon had been healthy for his time with us. We very well might have made 2 Finals. But he wasn't, and he wasn't worth a max contract anymore. I haven't heard the latest, but if Danny can wrangle a trade exception (if that's the right term) out of Charlotte via a sign and trade, this could turn out benefiting us. Yeah, as much as Hayward was a very good player with us, we need more assertive / smartly aggressive players who attack downhill.

Well, now we know:
Hayward wanted a bigger role, being that he feels he is in the prime of his career. Hornets must have told him he’s going to be their focal point, and they paid him handsomely.
Can’t blame him. He’d be behind Tatum and Jaylen here.
Good luck, Gordon. Sorry when we beat up your Hornets. We’ll invite you to our victory parade after we win the Finals in the near future.

I feel bad for the guy. He just can't seem to catch a break. No pun intended!
