We can’t wait too long to find and establish our PG of the future — once we move on from Kemba, we need his replacement to hit the road running to keep our momentum going full steam ahead.
Tremont is a candidate, but is he the heir apparent?
What he has going for him is:
- he’s got confidence - can lead an offense - passes really well - is a capable 3 pt shooter - can create his own offense in certain matchups - good positional defense, with quick hands
If he can bump these traits up another level, Tremont should be a shoe in for the starting spot, even though he’s under 6 feet.

Right now he's too inconsistent. At times he's brilliant; at others unfocused and turnover prone. I say this after watching a fair amount of him as a Red Claw. If I had to guess, I'd say his ceiling is as a good backup PG.

If anything, Tremont is a shoe in for our backup PG. In this draft, I like Tyrese Haliburton, Tyrell Terry and Theo Maledon (Haliburton will probably be gone by late lottery, though).

I think he's a good depth guy, but I wouldn't expect big things from him

Shane Larkin, Brad Wannamaker clone. He played for my alma mater, Notre Dame-WH, in high school.
