With Tatum not only an All-Star, but potentially a superstar, and Jaylen Brown possibly on his way to being an All-Star too, which position would be best for us to have a 3rd All-Star at?
For me, I’m looking at the 4.
I want our PG to be a complementary player who is a great 3pt specialist (thinking along the likes of John Paxson / Steve Kerr, or in our time, Malcom Brogdon). And at the 5, another highly effective complementary player who does what we need from our bigs — who knows, maybe we already have this guy in Robert Williams.
Then at the 4, a star PF who fits in great with Tatum and Jaylen — doesn’t take away from their game, but excels at filling in where they don’t. Adds to them with high level IQ and passing ability, and scoring acumen. A tough physical defender who can play rough and dirty.
I don’t think Grant Williams is that guy, though he definitely has a special place on this team.

I could see Langford be a future all-star at the 2. He has all the tools, however will he make the incremental progress that Tatum or Brown made each year?
