It took a while for Kanter to settle into his role and get consistent playing time, but I think we’re seeing him round into form. The last 4 games he’s recorded double digit rebounds (he had a 9 rebound game just before his 4 game streak).
Say what we will about his lack of defense, but we’re benefitting from his strengths (rebounding, interior scoring).

It's been a while since we had a guy who could score on put backs and I love it. I like our center tandem right now. He and Theis are different but both valuable.

I heard/read somewhere that GWill works well with Kanter. It could be that Grant covers up for Enes’ defensive miscues. But credit to Brad for positively finding ways to utilize Kanter’s abilities, in spite of his glaring defensive inabilities.

I didn't want to start a whole thread about this, but Does anyone miss Al Horford? I've been watching Sixer box scores and he's pretty much living down to the name Average Al. I think we're fine with the guys we have, and we saved a ton of money. I would like Theis to shoot more though. He'll knock down some threes and then for some reason not even look to shoot them the next game.

Who? Oh you mean the guy who bailed on us for more money, and a seemingly easier road to a title with Philly? J/K, I’m indifferent about Al. Nice guy, but no, I don’t think we’re missing him.
Kanter is giving us a double double every game now. Impressive considering he’s coming off the bench and playing less than 25 minutes.

Al def did the right thing money-wise, cuz if he wouldnt have opted out and had played like that for the C's this year, he would've been looking at an MLE-level deal next season.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Kanter’s double double explosion has come about in the absence of RWill. With a more refined role and playing time, Kanter has found his groove.
So how do we keep this going with Kanter, and still incorporate and develop RWill?

I'd like to see Brad experiment with having two of them on the court together. Kanter is pretty much an inside guy, and that's where you want him, but Theis can play outside. I think they can play together at times. RWill has no consistent offensive game other than dunks off lobs anyway, but he too could play with Theis. I don't think RWill and Kanter would be a good combo though.

And unless Brad will play GWill at SF, it will be tough to give Kanter, RWill, and GWill (not even mentioning Semi) backup minutes.

I think Brad has done a really good job showing Kanter's positives, and masking his negatives. For $5million/year, might be the best less than MLE player in the NBA.

I forgot he's making only $5 million. That's a steal by Ainge. Uh-oh, I think I just heard Johnny Most. "Aaaand, there's a steal by Ainge. Underneath to DJ. He lays it in. What a play by Danny Ainge!" Ok, so it was Bird, not Ainge, but you get the point.

Last 10 games:
10.7 PPG 11.8 RPG 53% FG 1.5 BPG
All in 21.4 MPG.
Him and Theis in various 15-20 minute spurts has been super effective.
