Aron Baynes is off to a hot start. Averaging 16-6-3, shooting 58% overall and 47% from 3pt. 8-games. There has been banter of acquiring a C, but did Danny trade away that C BOS needed? Discuss.

If trading Baynes to have enough to acquire Kemba was the reason, then yes, it was the right move. Good for Baynes early success. I’m glad he’s in a situation where he’s helping a team move in the right direction.

No doubt Baynes was, and is, a solid player, but we needed the cap space and he was a casualty. Unfortunately, the whole NBA knew Danny had to move salary out to afford Kemba, so he had no leverage.

I really liked Baynes in BOS. Yeah, BOS needed cap space and Baynes was a casualty. Bummer.

And quite possibly, it could be that Ainge and Brad wanted to go in a different direction at the 5 spot. More speed and athleticism.
